Audio Werks

As Bob Seger says, "Just take those old records off the shelf", and bring them to me. I'll clean, record and burn them to CD-R so you can actually listen to them once again!  Same thing with your cassette tapes if you wish, so let's talk details:

  • Basic recording package: $10 per album. This includes the gentle cleaning of your LP, digital recording of your vinyl / cassette album; removal of pop, click, hiss and general clean-up of the recording; then burning it to CD-R as an audio file for maximum compatibility. Single track per album side.
  • Basic Plus package: $15 per album. Includes all of the above but the songs will be separated out into their own track. Makes it easier to jump from one song to the next...
  • Totally Custom: Price dependant upon your needs... Such as, you've got 40 albums gathering dust and you'd like to mix and match... create your own greatest hits album. Can do... let's see what you have in mind!
  • Lightscribe Labeling: $5 per label/CD. May be added to any of the above packages. Consisting of the name of the album, artist and songs artistically arranged. Additional label graphics are priced depending upon complexity.

And just to be clear ... this service is generally reserved for albums that can no longer be purchased in CD form. If available, I would recommend purchasing a re-mastered CD of the original.

Disclaimers and Additional Information

  • The above services apply to those materials that you own personally and only a single copy may be made.
  • The "per album" rate is applicable to single platter albums only, a double album will be double the price, just simple math. Two platter albums will generally fit on a single CD-R, thus Lightscribe labeling would not be doubled.
  • The quality of the recording will be dependant upon the source material. If your album/cassette has been gouged, melted, twisted into a pretzel or otherwise abused... well, you get the idea.
  • Quality CD-R"s are used and have a plain white coating on the label side, ready for your choice of labeling options... excluding Lightscribe labeling.
  • My approach to the removal of distortion from recordings is "gentle" shall we say. Every attempt is made to preserve the quality of the original recording and restore it to it's original fidelity. Certain imperfections may be left in, simply because their removal would degrade the fidelity of the recording.
